How We Met

We met randomly in 2004 in Florida where we both lived at the time: We were both working as consultants (Todd worked as a City Planner, and Kirsten worked as a Biologist) and ended up meeting at a city Zoning meeting (of all places!).  The project being discussed was a little controversial for the city, so the room was packed with people opposed to it.  Kirsten was there to represent the city, and Todd was there to represent a group of homeowners who were against the proposed project.  Todd would normally have sat with his clients but there were so many people at the meeting that the only seats available were right up front, and  beside Kirsten!  Needless to say, the meeting was quite long and we had several hours to chat and get to know each other a bit.  Well, we exchanged business cards and went on a lunch date the next week, and the rest is history!  We were married a little over a year later!
